Join us for an interactive view of the largest Ginnie Mae exposure due to Issuer fraud.   We will re-enact the transcripts of the testimony key individuals that were part of the fraud. This session will focus on the trial testimony of the participants, revealing who knew what, when they knew it and how a ten million dollar overdraft in 2002 ballooned, over a seven year period, into a billion dollars.

On August 3, 2009, TBW was raided by federal authorities.  Eleven days later, it ceased all business operations and terminated over 2000 employees.  At the time, TBW was a top ten wholesale mortgage lender, the largest privately held U.S. mortgage company, and was the third largest DE lender to HUD.

Speaker Bios

Rachel Dollar is an attorney and certified mortgage banker with broad based commercial and residential mortgage banking, real estate and construction litigation practice representing financial institutions, developers and contractors. She represents Fortune 500 companies, large, mid-size and small business and individuals. 

Madeline Johnson is an executive financial consultant with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. She is dedicated to analyzing the financial risks associated with origination through servicing mortgages, mortgage guaranty insurance, and credit enhancement structures.
