WHF Professional Development Committee: Getting Quoted in the Media Getting quoted in the media is a great way to establish yourself as an expert or leader in a field, but it can be difficult to get started and avoid some common pitfalls. Join us for a conversation with Ross Delston, an anti-money laundering expert who has been quoted regularly and extensively in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, New Yorker, the American Banker, Bloomberg, ICIJ, OCCRP, the Times of London, the Nikkei (Japan) and the Hindu Business Line (India), and Victoria Guida, a financial services reporter covering banking regulations and monetary policy for POLITICO. She covers the Federal Reserve, the FDIC and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, as well as the Treasury Department. We’ll discuss how to work with reporters to get accurately quoted and we’ll share some lively stories. Date: January 28, 2021
