Speakers Bios:  

Cristina Jimenez is a partner in RHR International’s New York City office. Cristina is a talent management executive with more than 15 years of experience in Fortune 100 companies leading and building global talent functions, executing best-in-class strategies and experiences, and identifying, assessing, and developing executives. She is a co-leader of RHR’s diversity and inclusion services and works closely with senior executives and HR leaders to leverage the breadth of diversity for growth, transformation, and innovation. Cristina has deep experience across various industries including biotech and pharma, private equity, consumer products, retail, beauty, and financial services.

Cristina started her corporate career at Pfizer within the worldwide research and development headquarters, focused primarily on leadership and diversity. She then continued to develop her expertise at Verizon, holding numerous senior roles within the organizational effectiveness, talent management, and diversity functions throughout her tenure. Cristina also ran an executive coaching practice for approximately five years with a strong focus on accelerating and integrating diverse and female talent into the culture. Prior to joining RHR International, Cristina was an executive at American Express, building and leading various portions of the global executive talent and organizational development functions.

Cristina has built both internal and external executive coaching and advisory practices that allow her to engage business leaders on ways to navigate organizations, create transformational change, and achieve personal success. These combined experiences have enabled Cristina to create deep expertise in ensuring successful executive integration and acceleration, building executive pipelines, developing diverse and female leaders, and driving organizational transformation.

Cristina speaks regularly at executive leadership and coaching forums, and her research has been published in several academic journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northeastern University and dual master’s degrees in sociology and business research from Stanford University. 

 

 

Lawrence James is a partner in RHR International’s Chicago office and a co-leader of RHR’s diversity and inclusion services. He moved to RHR for the opportunity to create greater, more sustained impact with larger organizations and their senior leaders. Lawrence’s inquisitiveness, intellect, insight, and drive to help individuals and companies have enabled him to have significant impact with clients in numerous sectors including energy/utilities, financial services, retail, and manufacturing. As a trusted advisor, he helps senior executives enhance the business performance and productivity of their organizations through effective leadership practices, change management, and strategic talent development. Lawrence is a thought leader and innovator in the area of executive development. He has authored original research on best practices in African American executive development entitled “Journey to the Top: Developing African American Executives.” He has delivered numerous speeches and talks on this topic and others to a wide variety of audiences including McKinsey, Strategy& (former Booz & Co), and EEI.

Prior to joining RHR International, Lawrence was president of LJA LifeLessons,a psychological services corporation he founded. He served as an adjunct professor in psychology at Lewis University. He was also a consultant at The Adler School of Professional Psychology and Thornton Community Services.

Lawrence received his BA in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master of education in counseling psychology at Howard University, and a PhD in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He is a licensed psychologist in the state of Illinois and is a member of several professional organizations including the American Psychological Association and the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi).

In his free time Lawrence enjoys sports, spending time with friends and family, and traveling—his perfect weekend combines all three.
