Calvary has opportunities for WHF members to volunteer to teach a financial empowerment class, focused on budgeting, savings, paying bills on time, credit repair, or basic banking and checking account management..
Calvary’s tutoring sessions are conducted at the Shelter at 1217 Good Hope Road SE, from 1:30 – 2:30 pm every Tuesday for two months. The program repeats three times a year.

Operation HOPE has opportunities for WHF volunteers to conduct the Banking on our Future curriculum to youths in schools in the DC metropolitan area. Volunteers are provided with training materials and a 2 hour train the trainer session prior to the event. Volunteers are trained to break down their knowledge of banking and credit into terms that youth can understand and utilize immediately.
