WHF members volunteer to provide financial literacy training to clients of community organizations around the Washington, DC area. This training addresses issues such as family budgeting, personal savings, paying bills on time, credit repair, and basic banking and checking account management. Training sessions have been provided in conjunction with the following organizations:

- Columbia Heights Village Association
- Cornerstone Group
- Girl Scouts of America
- Jubilee Jobs
- Hopkins House
- Community Family Life Services
- National Center for Children & Families (Independent Living Program)
- Rising Hope
- Lorton Community Action Center
- Meld/Even Start
- And at the Women’s Wealth Building Symposium, a one-day financial education conference sponsored by the McAuley Institute and FannieMae.
