The WHF Foundation held a symposium on June 23, 2010, titled Financial Education: Empowering the Generations.  This event will be held at the Reserve Officers Association at the Top of the Hill Banquet and Conference Center on Capitol Hill starting at 3:00 p.m. with a congressional reception to follow at 5:30 p.m.

The WHF Foundation will also announce the 2010 recipients of its Partnership Grant Program. First launched in 2000, the program underwrites financial empowerment initiatives of Washington D.C.-area community based organizations that serve low-income and disadvantaged women and their families in the areas of housing and finance. 

In addition to the program of distinguished speakers, symposium sponsors from the private and non-profit sectors will display information about their myriad financial literacy programs. Proceeds from the sponsorships will serve to support the WHF Foundation's Partnership Grant Program.
