Speaker: John Lyons, OCC, Chief National Bank Examiner
Program Description: John Lyons was appointed as Senior Deputy Comptroller Bank Supervision Policy and Chief National Bank Examiner in October 2011. Mr. Lyons will speak about anticipated supervisory challenges over the coming years.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Speaker Bios: John Lyons directs the formulation of policies and procedures for the supervision and examination of national banks, chairs the agency's Committee on Bank Supervision, and serves on the OCC's Executive Committee. Since joining the OCC in 1977, Mr. Lyons has held a variety of leadership and staff positions in bank supervision as a field examiner, a credit team lead, and examiner-in-charge of several banks including First of America, Firstar, LaSalle Bank, and Citibank.
Mr. Lyons holds a bachelors of science in business administration from DePaul University (Chicago) and a masters of business administration from Loyola University (Chicago).
